i have been waiting months and months for MacWorld. Why? Because Mr. CEO of AT&T decided to blab back in november that the 3G iPhone will definitely be here in 2008 (gizmodo). Rumors say he decided to do this because he wanted to piss off Apple and Jobs by saying "we don't care if we lose money by announcing this early, because we still have the force on our side" or something to that effect. Anyway, this invariably managed to piss me off instead, because I have no choice but to wait at least until MacWorld to see if Steve's hand has been forced and he announces the new iPhone. if he doesn't, then i get a current one and hope i get a few good months use out of it before they announce the 3G over the summer... hey maybe i'll at least get a few extra gigs as a reward for waiting?
anyway David Lynch has this to say about using the iPhones for certain forms of entertainment. good thing I live in a driving-is-a-way-of-life city, and can't use that particular function unless i'm in major traffic...
but then this article made me feel much better about me being a fanboy... link
i spent more hours in my friends' basement playing street fighter II, II turbo, alpha, alpha II, EX+A, Marvel vs Capcom II, and that one compilation disk i cant remember, than i will ever be able to calculate. we are talking 6-7 hours a day (after a whole day of playing basketball) for whole summers.
never got into street fighter III's engine, but maybe this will be fun?

i love life right now. i get to be influenced by people like Mr. Byrd, and even get paid for it!
It's amazing how without a doubt any person who refers to themself or labels themself as "classy" is guaranteed to be anything but! the same people who delude themselves into thinking they are intelligent, or funny, or dependable, seem to fall into this same category as well.
can you tell just how much i love my fellow human beans?
